RIOT EDITION OF LONDON OLYMPICS 2012 MASCOT
Inspired by the London Riots of 2011, artist Whatshisname created his own version of the London Olympics mascot. The figures portray riot police equipped with shields, helmets and batons as well as hooded hooligans with Molotov cocktails. One of the figures show police beating with baton while the hooligan lays on the ground. We’ve been told the artist’s intent is to draw attention to safety in and around London during the 2012 Olympics.
The figures themselves are 12 cm resin figures with 3 riot police and 2 hooligan figures made. These are to be available towards the end of September possibly in time to catch all interested Olympics enthusiasts.
