The idea came about by utilizing a system of pairing real people with fictional characters from pop culture and various fandoms that included: the low culture of comics, video games, DJ, and hip hop music. By drawing and mixing various combinations of already existing codes and blurring the lines between fact and fiction, Wong was attempting to make a sort of mixtape or mashup through illustration.
