Summer is upon us and so is breaking news on the June Cavey that matches the summer mood. Summer Sunset Cavey is a tie dyed friend where no two are alike due to their coloring and color absorption. Each Cavey will also come in a one of a kind tie dyed bag to compliment the Cavey in shades of pink and purple.

Summer Sunset Cavey is limited to 75 numbered pieces, and are £16 each and includes the bag and glitter badge. They on sale in the Cavey shop Thursday June 7th 8pm 8pm London time (15:00 EDT, 12:00 PDT).

Just released via facebook courtesy of Jeff Soto‘s fan page. It looks like the Prints on Wood collaboration is releasing the next print on June 7th and will retail at $25 plus shipping. This looks amazing. It should sell rather well.

From what we have seen this is one of the first initial viewings of the box that will house the Target figure by Luke Chueh being brought to you by Munky King. Based on information at hand, the figure will be previewed and released at SDCC followed by the first original color. Keep your eyes out for more updates and add this to your SDCC wishlist.

We found these little guys hiding online as part of the Space Case series by Jeff Beck of Menace Inc. Studios. Pictured above are progress shots of the orange, pink, and green figures that will be a part of the series. We can’t wait to see how these turn out.

RSIN recently dropped us a line about the pieces he has coming up for the Urban Decay 3 show that is coming up this week Workhorse Art Center in Lorton, VA. It opens on June 1st with an artist talk, and then the big opening is June 2nd. RSIN and a few other artist are talking from 5-6pm, then the show, live music, live demos, ect start at 7 and go till 11.

On a series we have reported on before that involves things that everyone love: toys from MAD. Couple this with the cult classic legend of Bruce Lee from Round 5 and you have a masterpiece. The first Series from the partnership is due to be out in August/September is entitled “Bruce Lee’s Temple of Kung Fu” that are 3″ blindboxed and come as a set of 28 figures. The artwork above depicts the evil characters in the series.

We can’t wait to see the rest of the previews and when the series comes out.

Found via the all-knowing facebook, we were invited to an event hosted by one of the brains behind the Vinyl Thoughts show series in Dallas, TX. Many do not know what he looks like, and he may even wear a mask to the event, but by golly he will sure teach you how to sculpt. We invite you to come take a peek into the world of this artist as he unveils his secret process and aids you in your own creative endeavors.

This 2-hour adult workshop features tips & tricks from the legend himself; followed by a guided time of creation for each participant. Bring a blank vinyl ready to customize; Cody will help walk you through the beginning stages.

From one of our loyal readers, David Kraig,  comes a custom that he did for the Custom Toy Union exchange. The figure is a 4″ munny with a 3″ dunny and super sculpey, acrylic paint, and art canvas in the top hat.

In the case of Lunartik, it was only a matter of time before his two passions, art and tea, combined in to one thing: tea art (or art tea, depending on your preference). These pieces are a shade taller than the traditional mini series teas as each of these pieces stands 5.5″ not including the brush that comes with it. Each cup has been hand-crafted and has been painted white and filled with colored resin. The wooden platforms that the cups rest on are hand painted and adorned with silver/nickle plaques.

Points of interest are that these are a run of 18 and will be shipped sequentially (essentially first come, first served). Each buyer even has the luxury of choosing the color that is on the brush tip. This piece is a portion of a continuing series to be known as “Tiny Art Gallery”. These figures are already available for £49.00 each + P&P through Lunartik.com and will come wrapped and secured.
